ÂÒÂ׺£½Ç the Project

The Nepal Agriculture Cooperative Central Federation Ltd. (NACCFL), with support from the Global Agriculture and Food Security Programme (ÂÒÂ׺£½Ç), is implementing a four-year project (2024–2028) in Bardiya district to enhance food and nutrition security and build resilient livelihoods for vulnerable farming households. Targeting 8,593 beneficiaries—75% of whom are women and 55% from the indigenous Tharu community—the project focuses on increasing incomes through mustard-based value chains, promoting climate-resilient farming, improving nutrition, and empowering local producer organizations.

Key initiatives include strengthening NACCFL's online marketing platform Kisan ko Poko (KKP), expanding cooperative-to-cooperative (C2C) trade, and supporting home and school nutrition gardens. With USD 2.45 million in ÂÒÂ׺£½Ç funding and USD 77,000 in co-financing from NACCFL, the project is guided by technical assistance from FAO, ensuring inclusive development, good governance, and sustainable agricultural practices.
