The United States today announced it will contribute US$155 million to the Global Agriculture and Food Security Program (ĀŅĀ×ŗ£½Ē) to improve the resilience and sustainability of agriculture and food systems in the face of ongoing crises. A new states this new contribution will āsupport projects that raise agricultural productivity, link farmers to markets, improve livelihoods, reduce vulnerability, and enhance resilience to shocksā in the worldās poorest countries.

Since its inception in 2010, the US has contributed over US$668 million to ĀŅĀ×ŗ£½Ē to support public and private sector projects across 50 low-income countries. As of April 2022, Mr. Nicholas Strychacz, Deputy Director of the Office of International Development Policy at the US Treasury Department, serves as Co-Chair of the ĀŅĀ×ŗ£½Ē Steering Committee.
